ANDOVER, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--3STEP Sports, the nation’s largest and most impactful youth sports club and event operator, has acquired D3 Lacrosse Showcase, a top lacrosse event operator which provides opportunities for boys and girls to be seen by Division III college coaches.
D3 Lacrosse Showcase began in 2010 with just boys events, mainly in the winter. Over the years, D3 Lacrosse Showcase added girls events and offered programming year-round. Today, more than 1,800 athletes attend 220 unique programs along with 281 college coaches.
“We provide opportunities for kids who want to open the door to the Division III experience,” said D3 Lacrosse Showcase co-founder Chris Meade. “Players and coaches are aligned with their expectations and it’s a tremendous experience for everyone involved.
“3STEP will help grow D3 Lacrosse Showcase and take the experience to the next level. The team will have the runway to give D3 Showcase the exposure and attention it deserves.”
The showcases are geared for sophomores and juniors who are looking to play at the next level. The first event of 2023 is the Boys Winter Showcase on Jan. 16 at the ISP Event Center in Randolph, NJ. There are boys’ and girls’ summer showcases on June 3 and 4, respectively, at the Capelli Sports Complex in Tinton Falls, NJ. In the fall, there will be boys’ and girls’ showcases.
“D3 Lacrosse Showcase is one of the premier events in the country for athletes looking to explore playing at the next level,” said 3STEP Founder and Executive Chairman David Geaslen. “Chris Meade and his team have built an outstanding platform to connect college coaches and athletes. We’re thrilled to be able to help create more opportunities for young players to showcase their skills.”
