MELBOURNE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Orion180, one of the fastest growing insurance solutions providers in the nation utilizing its own proprietary cutting-edge technology to serve independent insurance agents throughout the Southeast, has announced today that it is donating $175,000 to several Brevard nonprofit organizations through its “Star Outreach Program.”
Brevard county born and raised, Founder and CEO Ken Gregg has made it his mission to provide best-in-class insurance products and excellence of service to insurance brokers and homeowners; as well as to give back to vulnerable communities in his hometown through the organization’s Star Outreach Program.
For every new policy that the company writes, a portion is allocated towards Orion180’s charitable fund, which is then distributed to charitable organizations and causes. Every dollar donated through the Star Outreach Program stays in the communities Orion180 serves and is headquartered. This allows not only Orion180, but each of their agency partners to become change agents in their respective communities.
“We are elated that through this program, we are able to support so many causes right in our own neighborhoods,” said Ken Gregg. “I have a commitment to the community where I grew up; in addition, most of our staff lives in Brevard county, and they, also have strong ties to our community. We are fortunate to help others succeed in achieving their dreams.”
During the program’s holiday giving, six local charities will receive significant donations including Brevard County Public Schools receiving $75,000, Family Promise of Brevard received $25,000, New Life Mission received $20,000, Neighbor Up Brevard with $10,000, Promise in Brevard was awarded $20,000, and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will receive $25,000.
These donations will help countless Brevard county residents find secure housing, positively affect the educational future of their children, and provide independent living to individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities, among a host of other life-changing impacts.
“For organizations like ours, receiving a substantial donation from a community partner means that we are able to equip that many more mothers to transform their lives and the lives of their families through generations,” said Amy Lyon, CEO of New Life Mission. “The generosity of Brevard County and Orion180 has been monumental in serving our mission.”
In addition to these six local Brevard charities, 17 additional charities across the Orion180 footprint of North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Georgia received donations. Including this round of donations, Orion180 has donated $410,000 in 2022 to more than 40 charities and is committed to continuing their charitable giving in 2023.
