LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, December 13, sweetgreen, the mission-driven restaurant brand serving healthy food at scale, opens its first Tampa restaurant. Tampa will be the 5th new market sweetgreen has opened in 2022.
Guests can visit the new restaurant at 301 West Palm Avenue, conveniently located for young professionals, students and the residents near Armature Works just steps from the Tampa Riverwalk. Tampa will also see additional restaurants open in Hyde Park Village and the Edge District in the new year.

sweetgreen prioritizes quality ingredients, with fresh produce delivered each morning for their menu of core and seasonal salads, warm bowls and sides. Regional partners include Brick Street Farms based out of St. Petersburg and Gulf Coast Sourdough in Tampa. The restaurant also sources ingredients from across Florida, including grape tomatoes from Lipman Family Farms in Immokalee, honey from Keez Beez in Key West, and juices from Perricone Farms in Vero Beach.
For every meal sold on opening day at the Tampa Heights restaurant, sweetgreen will donate a meal to Feeding Tampa Bay to nourish families in Hillsborough County experiencing food insecurity. sweetgreen will also celebrate its grand opening day with a Mocktail Happy Hour in partnership with St. Pete brand Mother Kombucha from 11am to 2pm, as well as a giveaway with local paddle boarding tour company Urban Kai, giving one lucky diner the chance to receive a $100 gift card to the restaurant and a 1-hour paddle board experience in Hillsborough River. The celebrations continue with fresh bouquets from Tonella’s Flower Truck, as well as live music and sweetgreen merch giveaways.
sweetgreen’s Heights District restaurant in Tampa will be open daily from 10:30am to 10pm. The 2,860 square foot space will accommodate 47 indoor diners with a variety of seating options ranging from booths, to banquets to counter seating, as well as a large community table that highlights the specialty art feature done by local artist, Ari Robison.
