ALPHARETTA, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Atrium Hospitality today announced three leadership promotions from within the company as the award-winning hotel management company strategically positions for the future. Anneliesse Cooper has advanced to Chief Human Resources Officer; Chris O’Donnell has been appointed to Chief Operating Officer; and Michael Tyler has been promoted to Vice President, Capital Planning & Facilities, a newly created role. Alpharetta, Georgia-based Atrium Hospitality is one of the nation’s largest hotel operators. Our company manages a portfolio of more than 80 hotels, representing well-known brands such as Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Wyndham, in 28 states and operates more than 20,000 guest rooms/suites and approximately 3 million square feet of event space.

Anneliesse Cooper, Chief Human Resources Officer
In her elevated role, Anneliesse will focus on Atrium Hospitality’s core values and company culture as she partners with our leadership team to drive talent strategies that support the successful execution of our organizational objectives. With more than 25 years of hospitality experience, Anneliesse joined the company in April 2022 as Senior Vice President, Human Resources. She encourages listening to Atrium’s Associates and creating a better place to work and grow through innovative partnerships and technologies, like our implementation this year of a critical financial wellness benefit by partnering with DailyPay for earned wage access. Prior to Atrium, Anneliesse served as Vice President of Human Resources at Marriott International, supporting the company’s Caribbean & Latin America Region. During her eight years with Marriott, she also served as Area Director of Human Resources for the Eastern region. In addition, her impressive career includes nearly 13 years with White Lodging Services, where she led talent acquisition for six years, transitioned to Area Director for 10 unique business units, and finally served as Corporate Director of Human Resources. Anneliesse holds a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University in Anthropology and Women’s Studies. She also studied Hospitality Management and Business Administration at the University of Houston.
Chris O’Donnell, Chief Operating Officer
As COO, Chris will be responsible for oversight of all operational performance throughout the award-winning Atrium-managed national hotel portfolio across 28 states. Chris joined Atrium in April 2022 as Vice President, Operations. He is a 20-year hospitality veteran with diverse experience in sales and operational leadership with premium-branded, full- and focused-service hotels. Prior to Atrium, Chris served as Senior Vice President, Operations at Magna Hospitality Group for six years, where he was responsible for an asset portfolio of hotels, representing Hyatt, Hilton, and Marriott brands. Chris’ two-decade career journey also comprises nine years with White Lodging Services, including his role as Regional Vice President, Operations. He is an active member in his faith community and participates in several events to serve the local area.
Michael Tyler, Vice President, Capital Planning & Facilities
In this newly created role, Michael will manage the development of Atrium’s capital investment needs and lead and develop the company’s internal and external project management resources. He will report to Atrium’s Senior Vice President, Capital Investments. Michael joined the company in February 2022 as Director of Energy Management to support Atrium in being more efficient per guest per square foot. This year, Michael has been leading energy management projects at many of Atrium’s properties, considerably reducing our operating costs. Prior to Atrium, Michael spent 19 years in commercial real estate, where he directed many complex renovations of assets. Michael holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Auburn University and received an MBA from Kennesaw State University. He is a CEM (Certified Energy Manager), a LEED AP O+M (Leadership in Engineering and Environmental Design Accredited Professional Operations and Maintenance), and a member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Sustainability Committee. Michael has achieved many sustainability and energy certifications and awards, including LEED Platinum and more than 30 Energy Star Awards.
