LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The award nominations of the first Aollywood Five Continents Film Festival announced in Los Angeles. In the five continents film main competition unit, "King Richard," "Drive My Car," "The Power of the Dog," "The Worst Man in the World," "Mogadishu" five films from four continents and multiple countries were nominated for the Best Global Picture.
Each film festival's Best Actor In a Leading Role and Best Actress In a Leading Role (commonly known as Best Actor and Best Actress), are the most important awards that attract the attention of moviegoers. The Golden Jasmine Awards at the first Aollywood Five Continents Film Festival aims to take a truly global perspective in the selection of nominations, hoping to differentiate itself from the most prestigious film awards in the world, which are judged from a European, American and Western perspective.
For this reason, the five actors who won the Golden Jasmine Award for Best Global Actor came from five different countries, with three actors from Asia, in addition to two actors from the United States and the United Kingdom.
The famous American actor Denzel Washington was nominated for his brilliant performance in "The Tragedy of Macbeth." His interpretation of the role of Macbeth is complex and profound. In the film, Macbeth's process from being compelled to going to black side is an excellent embodiment of the sense of tragedy. British actor Benedict Cumberbatch aptly portrays a rough and grumpy appearance, but a sensitive and complicated gay cowboy image inside in "The Power of the Dog."
Chinese actor Zhang Yi is currently one of the most powerful actors in China. His performance in "Cliff Walkers" is excellent. This nomination for the International Award is another high recognition of his exquisite acting skills. We hope he can stand out in the strong competition. Indian actor Suriya Sivakumar played the male lead in "Jai Bhim " and is very impressive. Filipino actor John Arcilla, although not well known, was able to win the Best Actor at the 78th Venice International Film Festival with "On the Job 2 : The Missing 8," which has proved his strength.
The results of the Golden Jasmine Awards of the first Aollywood Five Continents Film Festival will be announced during the World Film Industry Congress on December 11-12.
