SAN FRANCISCO--()--In celebration of today’s premiere of Netflix’s highly-anticipated new series “Wednesday,” Turo and Netflix have partnered to bring a very special 1950 Cadillac Hearse Edition, inspired by the show, to the Turo marketplace. The customized Addams family hearse expands the world’s largest peer-to-peer car sharing platform’s unique selection of vehicles and will open the door to an extraordinary adventure for Los Angeles-area fans.

From the imagination of Tim Burton, “Wednesday” is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams' years as a student at Nevermore Academy. There, she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.

To capture the Addams family spirit, the famed custom car builders at West Coast Customs have transformed a 1950 Cadillac Hearse Edition into a sinister and unearthly vessel. Modifications include a red LED grille insert and light installation, vulture shaped hood ornament, bat wing shaped side view mirrors, and spider shaped window coverings. The interior has also been modified with bench seats befitting the Addams family style — better for carrying live passengers.

Turo recently unveiled “Open the door to extraordinary”, a multi-channel campaign that depicts the car door as a portal to a different world, one where you can be your best self, your boldest, most expressive self. The Addams family hearse is the newest and spookiest vehicle in a Turo tradition of transporting guests to the world of extraordinary movie and TV sets by hosting iconic cars from movies like “Bumblebee” and TV shows like “Silicon Valley” and “Rick and Morty.”

Guests interested in taking the Addams family hearse for a spin can request to book the car beginning Wednesday, November 23rd, at 11:00 AM ET at https://turo.com/us/en/car-rental/united-states/los-angeles-ca/cadillac/custom-wagon/1785390.

Earlier this year, Turo announced its launch in Australia, marking the company’s second international expansion this year following its expansion into France via acquisition of OuiCar. Turo also launched in New York State this summer, making them the first and only car-sharing marketplace available in all 50 U.S. states.
