NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 2023 Digital Revolution Awards has announced a month-long extension to its popular awards that celebrate the best achievers in cloud technology, giving those working within the cloud technology community one last chance to take part.
After a late surge in nominations the awards, which will see in-person ceremonies and fundraisers held in Las Vegas, London and Frankfurt alongside its online screening, will now accept nominations until Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
"Some of the nominations we have received so far have been truly fantastic,” said Kashif Naqshbandi, Chief Marketing Officer of Tenth Revolution Group, the firm behind the event. “However, it’s a busy time of the year for a lot of organizations whose priority is, quite rightly, on delivering outstanding, innovative digital projects on time.”
“While it only takes a few minutes to submit a nomination, after much thought we decided to give people one more month to take part, in order to allow those who are achieving exceptional results to continue focusing on that, without it being at the expense of gaining the recognition they deserve. However, this will be the very last chance for people to get their amazing work celebrated.”
The 2023 awards have seen a raft of new categories as well as opening up to those from new tech communities including Google Cloud Platform, and ServiceNow. Individuals and organizations are encouraged to celebrate those who have gone above and beyond to make the industry a better place to live and work, with categories recognizing Exceptional Cloud Employer of the Year, Excellence in Learning and Development, and Outstanding Contribution to the Cloud Community, amongst others.
As well as planting a tree for every nomination they receive, the not-for-profit initiative’s in-person events will also help raise money for good causes across the globe. Its two charity partners are St. Martin’s school, which serves disadvantaged children in Kibagare, Kenya, and Climb Hire, an organization helping to give employment opportunities to those from low income backgrounds in the US.
“The focus of these awards is on celebrating the good that can be achieved through technology,” added Naqshbandi. “So, it’s important that we also use them to do good ourselves. That’s why we have gone above and beyond to produce an event that truly gives back to the world we live in.”
Nominations for the awards will now close on November 30, 2022. A full list of award categories, plus information on how to make a nomination, is available on the Digital Revolution Awards website.
