NEW YORK--()--Grayling, the world’s local communications firm, announced the appointments of Robert “Bob” Conrad as Executive Vice President and Alla Shkiler as Senior Vice President. They will provide senior counsel to U.S. and international clients on confronting societal challenges and articulating how they are doing so.

Based in Washington, D.C., their appointments bolster Grayling’s public and corporate affairs capabilities in the region.

“I have worked with Bob and Alla for years. So, I know how crucial their counsel is to clients’ business and reputational success,” said Danny Strauss, Managing Director, Grayling New York. “Our clients will benefit immensely from their experience empowering the world’s leading companies and government entities to navigate American business, policy, and society.”

Conrad has 30 years of experience at prominent consulting and communications firms. During his tenures at global communications consultancy Ketchum and management consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, he advised Fortune 500 executives and government clients on public affairs and corporate positioning. Immediately before joining Grayling, Conrad was Senior Media & Content Director at Syneos Health, a biopharmaceutical solutions organization.

Conrad is also an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University. He teaches courses on media relations, presentation, and public speaking.

“Grayling’s combination of global reach and local expertise is unrivaled in the industry,” said Conrad. “I look forward to further strengthening these offerings and learning from the team.”

Shkiler joins Grayling after more than a decade at Ketchum, most recently as Vice President. In this role, she enabled the world’s most prominent brands to strengthen their reputations and mitigate crises by constructively positioning themselves among key stakeholder groups.

“I have long admired Grayling’s ability to strengthen clients’ relationships with their most important stakeholders, including customers, employees, investors, and regulators,” said Shkiler. “We will build on this differentiator as we continue Grayling’s expansion in Washington, D.C., the U.S. more broadly, and around the world.”

Along with Strauss’s recent appointment, these moves demonstrate Grayling's sustained investment and success in the U.S.
