NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH), today launched ‘The Owners’ Council’, a dynamic and diverse community of women business owners. Sponsored by the BBH Center for Women & Wealth, Council members will come together regularly to share both personal and business insights and experiences, support, and advocate for each other, and grow and benefit from BBH’s shared ecosystem of women leaders.
The Council was established to provide a space for this select group of 100 business owners and c-suite executives to convene around the challenges of running and owning thriving businesses, while also thriving personally and professionally. The Council is uniquely designed to be an energizing connecting and learning experience, providing the opportunity to connect both in-person and virtually through intimate dinners and virtual ‘Candid Conversations’ with notable leaders with programming to kick off this month.
“At BBH we want to amplify the power of women by providing a forum in which they can support one another,” said Adrienne Penta, Executive Director of the BBH Center for Women & Wealth. “Formal and informal networks are often the key to accelerating success or finding the next great opportunity. With the Owners’ Council, we are creating an ecosystem where women can come together across geographies and industries to connect with other superstar women leaders to both give and receive the benefit of their insights, experience and connections.”
Over the past three years, the power of digital spaces has become clear, but as virtual events become static, there is a need to bring people together in person and maintain a hybrid community. The Council will feature live, in-person events along with virtual conversations, featuring Juliette Kayyem, CEO and Founder at Grip Mobility, Arianna Huffington, Founder and CEO at Thrive Global, Beth Monahan, CEO of Inkhouse, PK Scheerle, former CEO of GIFTED Healthcare, and more.
“By creating this powerful network, BBH is providing a critical resource for women navigating the complexities that come with being a modern leader,” said Juliette Kayyem, Owners’ Council member and CEO and Founder at Grip Mobility. “These intimate spaces in which women can connect, support, and mentor one another are invaluable.”
