How Women Lead #GetonBoard Week Honorees Are Helping Catapult Fearless Women Leaders into Board Seats

Mary Stutts, Salesforce and Nia Impact Capital will Take Home High Honors at the 2022 #GetonBoard Week Awards

SAN FRANCISCO--()--How Women Lead, a powerful community of more than 15,000 accomplished women executives working to redefine female leadership in the 21st century, today announced the winners of its sixth annual #GetOnBoard Week Awards. The awards recognize people and companies for their impactful work creating more equity for women in the workplace. The award ceremony will take place during How Women Lead’s #GetOnBoard weeklong summit of advocacy and action to catapult fearless women leaders into board seats, taking place October 17-21, 2022.

Mary Stutts, Salesforce and NIA Impact Capital will each be honored for their efforts during the #GetonBoard Week Keynote and Awards Event on Tuesday, October 18 from 8-10am PDT.

The 2022 #GetOnBoard Week award honorees are:

Fearless Leader Award - Mary Stutts

Mary Stutts has been recognized with this year’s Fearless Leader Award, which honors a woman whose service on corporate boards has moved the needle for other women on boards by recruiting other women board directors, serving in a leadership role on a critical board committee or board chair, and is a promoter of women on boards and in executive leadership.

Stutts, Chief Global Health Equity & Inclusion Officer for Real Chemistry and Board Director for Zogenix, is a leader and innovator with a track record of accomplishments in leading global corporations. Mary serves as a professional speaker on the dynamics of women and men in leadership, inclusive leadership, developing your personal brand, mastering entrepreneurship, the imperative for women leaders to add value in growing corporations, and has published a book on women in leadership titled “The Missing Mentor: Women Advising Women on Power, Progress and Priorities.”

Leading the Way Award - Salesforce

Awarded to the company taking the lead in the U.S. with gender diversity in the boardroom and setting an example for other companies to follow, Salesforce is the 2022 honoree for the Leading the Way Award. Salesforce has sought to change the world for the better through technology that brings people together to build strong relationships and to make a difference.

“Salesforce’s efforts to celebrate and empower more women leaders is nothing short of awe inspiring,“ said Castro Abrams. “By setting this example, Salesforce is truly leading the way to helping increase gender diversity in the boardroom.”

Bumble, Redwood Trust, First Republic Bank, Stitch Fix, and CalPERS are the previous winners of the Leading the Way Award.

Disruptor Award - NIA Impact Capital

NIA Impact Capital is the 2022 winner of the Disruptor Award, which recognizes an individual activist or company that is finding innovative ways to change the landscape for gender diversity on boards, create systemic change, and has made a bold action to change the trajectory of women on boards.

NIA Impact Capital, a women-led impact investing firm, has built a portfolio of forward-thinking companies playing a key role in creating an inclusive, just, and sustainable economy. Nia’s investment decision-making process includes both a gender lens and a commitment to racial equity.
