SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--OpsCruise, the leading provider of next-generation cloud application observability solutions, today announced that it has been granted another patent (US 11,422,859: ‘Methods and Systems for Cloud Application Optimization’) from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This further recognizes the company’s observability platform, enabling organizations to ensure the performance while optimizing use of resources and cost.
According to a recent CNCF survey1, 68% of respondents have experienced increasing cost of running Kubernetes, with more than half of them overspending by 20%. To address the challenges of complexity and cost of managing applications in the cloud, OpsCruise’s observability platform was designed from the ground up for microservices and Kubernetes environments. The platform is very effective in right-sizing resources at a granular level. Using its patented machine-learning based approaches that proactively detects anomalies and isolates causes, which helps DevOps and SRE teams to cost-effectively manage application Service Level Objective (SLOs) by appropriately allocating resources on a continuous basis. Equally important, the platform takes advantage of open source and OpenTelemetry monitoring tools, across metrics, logs, flows, traces and changes, to get a granular view of both performance and resource usage down to pods and containers.
“As enterprises become increasingly software-driven, observability enables agile microservices architectures, giving developers more visibility into and IT more control over operations, while business teams gain greater insights. With this most recent patent, OpsCruise continues its innovation in modern observability delivering important advancements in extending the value of actionable observability, which helps organizations realize cost-effective management of their cloud resources and ensures optimal application performance,” said Sai Chintala, President of Quality Engineering, Cloud and DevOps at Innominds.
“This is another validation of OpsCruise’s innovation in modern observability, extending the value of actionable observability to cost effective management of cloud resources while ensuring application performance,” said Sai Chintala, President of Quality Engineering, Cloud & DevOps at Innominds.
“We are pleased that the US Patent Office continues to recognize the uniqueness of our technology in granting this patent,” said Dr. Aloke Guha, founder and CTO of OpsCruise. “Now businesses leveraging cloud can build automated intelligent observability to get to a more autonomous management of their application performance and availability and significantly improve their mean time to repair (MTTR) while at the same time lowering their cost. We expect this will be one of many more patents on its innovative Observability platform.”
This patent builds on the first patent OpsCruise received on machine learning based observability last year.
