CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Westinghouse Electric Company has signed a definitive agreement to sell the Power Delivery business of BHI Energy Co. (BHI) to United Utility Services, a portfolio company of Bernhard Capital Partners. The Power Delivery business provides industry-leading specialty services in design, construction, maintenance and storm restoration to the transmission and distribution (T&D) end markets.
Westinghouse acquired BHI in May 2022 to create the world’s first fully integrated outage, maintenance and modification services business in support of the clean power industry globally. In divesting the Power Delivery business, Westinghouse further strengthens its focus on its core nuclear markets and complementary industrial and renewables service offerings.
“This transaction represents a positive transition for the BHI Power Delivery business to continue to grow within United Utility Services,” said Patrick Fragman, President and CEO of Westinghouse. “We look forward to finalizing the integration of BHI’s core assets into Westinghouse to strengthen our service offerings to the nuclear, renewable and industrial power generation markets.”
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
