OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mighty Buildings, a 3D-printing construction technology company dedicated to sustainably transforming the way the world builds homes, applauds California on its passage of AB 2446. This new law, signed by California Governor Gavin Newsom on September 16th, will require the California Air Resources Board to develop a framework for measuring and then reducing carbon intensity in the construction of new buildings, including those for residential uses. Mighty Buildings is proud to have worked closely with Assemblymember Holden and his team on bringing this critical legislation forward.
Slava Solonitsyn, CEO and Co-founder of Mighty Buildings, commented:
“AB 2446 will play an important role in moving the construction and building materials industries forward by fostering innovation, while at the same time addressing some of the most pressing issues we face today.
“As a California-based company committed to delivering zero-carbon homes by 2028 without purchased offsets, we’re proud that our state is once again demonstrating strong leadership through this commitment to environmental sustainability and its goal to reach carbon neutrality by 2045.”
