Stephens Adds Three Senior Executives to the Firm’s Financial Institutions Group

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--()--Stephens, an independent financial services firm, announced today that Peter McCorry, Russell Gunther and Jake Morton have joined its financial institutions group (FIG) within Institutional Equities and Research as managing directors. Mr. McCorry and Mr. Morton will focus on equities sales and trading while Mr. Gunther will work on equity research.

Collectively, they bring more than 60 years of industry experience to Stephens, deepening the firm’s FIG-related capabilities and offerings. They will be based in Stephens’ New York office.

Mr. McCorry and Mr. Gunther joined Stephens from D.A. Davidson while Mr. Morton joined from Wells Fargo. All three served in similar roles at those firms. Mr. McCorry held earlier positions with FIG Partners, Compass Point, KBW and Citigroup. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta.

Mr. Gunther held earlier positions at Macquarie Capital, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods and PwC. He is a graduate of Colgate University.

Mr. Morton held earlier positions at Mendon Capital, Piper Jaffray, Stern Agee, Moors & Cabot and the NYSE. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
