BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bain Capital Credit, LP, a leading global credit specialist, today announced that the firm’s Private Credit Group invested $2.4 billion to support the growth of middle market and private equity-backed companies during the first half of 2022.
Bain Capital Credit’s Private Credit Group invested in more than 100 businesses across 27 industries in the first half of 2022, supporting the refinancing, leveraged buyout and add-on acquisition activity of both new and existing portfolio companies. With a track record of investing in middle market private debt dating back to 1998, the Private Credit Group has invested over $19 billion across over 450 portfolio companies since inception.
Additional first half 2022 highlights include:
- Invested $2.4 billion across more than 100 distinct portfolio companies, including to 29 new platforms
- Served as lead lender on approximately 70% of new commitments
- Strong credit performance across our diversified portfolio of ~200 middle market businesses
- Closed on over $1.5 billion of new capital for investments
