NEW YORK--()--Vivvi, a leading provider of employer-sponsored child care and early learning, today announced plans to open its first location outside Manhattan at 55 Prospect Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn in Fall 2022. The announcement follows Vivvi’s recent $15 million Series B funding to make care and learning more accessible and affordable for working families. The new location, in partnership with RFR + Kushner Companies, will help meet accelerating demand for child care in a rapidly growing neighborhood that’s become a destination for both families and employers.

Vivvi’s Dumbo campus will provide much-needed child care seats for more than 100 children ages 0-5, through direct enrollment and partnerships with surrounding businesses that provide child care as a benefit to their employees. The 9,000-square-foot space will occupy the ground floor of Dumbo Heights, RFR and Kushner Companies’ 750,000-square-foot creative campus with anchor tenants Etsy, 2U, and Frog Design, located near the Dumbo Historic District and Waterfront.

“We’re excited to bring Vivvi’s high quality child care and preschool program to a vibrant community that’s exploding with growth, yet is still lacking in child care for working families,” said Charles Bonello, co-founder and CEO of Vivvi. “Exceptional child care is the cornerstone of every great neighborhood, not only to serve the working parents who live there, but also to attract forward-thinking businesses that want to provide child care as a benefit for their employees.”

The new campus will be Vivvi’s fifth location in NYC, and one of the first new campuses to open since the hire of Dylan Mattes as the company’s Vice President of Real Estate. The former Convene executive is leading Vivvi’s accelerating campus expansion, with plans to open 30 new schools over the next three years, including several dedicated on-site programs for employer partners.

“As working parents look to return to offices post-pandemic, there’s been unprecedented demand for child care as a benefit, and employers are increasingly seeing the value in child care on site or in close proximity,” said Mattes. “We’re honored to be able to serve employers of every size, from Fortune 500 companies to startups, so they can attract and retain the best talent—and that includes working parents.”

Vivvi is one of the fastest-growing child care and early learning providers in the country, with clients including theSkimm, New York Presbyterian Hospital and Goodwin Procter. In addition to on-campus care, Vivvi also offers a suite of products that equitably and flexibly support the cost of child care, including: In-Home Care, Virtual Tutoring, a National Back-Up Child Care Network, and Care Cash, which allows employers to offer reimbursements for care provided by an employee’s “trusted village” of family, friends or neighbors.
