IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Salem Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SALM) announced today the hiring of Haley Bianco as the first news anchor for Salem News Channel (SNC), and she is now doing news capsules at the top and bottom of the hour, between 5pm and 10pm weekdays. She will be the first of several anchors joining the network.
Salem News Channel is a full service OTT television network, providing content throughout the week, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Haley joins SNC from Fox 40 in Binghamton, New York, where she served as managing editor and primetime anchor; previously host and producer of “PA live!” in Wilkes-Barre, PA; reporter in PA and in WV.
“I am excited to be able to deliver news every day on SNC from the New York City studios,” said Haley. “We promise to provide a credible news product, which will augment the great talk shows already seen on SNC.”
Haley will be providing two-minute news capsules at the top of the hour and one-minute at the bottom of the hour, in the shows hosted by Andrew Wilkow, Brandon Tatum, Dinesh D’Souza, and Eric Metaxas. “Haley brings a wealth of TV news experience to SNC, and will give us the news credibility we are looking for as we continue to grow and expand our emerging TV network,” said Salem Senior VP of Spoken Word, Phil Boyce.
