HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Isikel, a manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies, announced today the leasing of a new, 196,000-square-foot facility in Katy, Texas. The site will be the center of the company’s nitrile gloves and saline solutions manufacturing. This expansion, which reflects Isikel’s continued commitment to supply-chain resiliency, is partly due to the company’s rapid growth and increased demand for medical supplies.
“The COVID-19 pandemic was a huge disruptor in the healthcare supply chain, and hospitals and other providers struggled to secure the necessary supplies needed to keep patients and healthcare workers safe,” said Valerie Vickrey, managing partner and co-founder of Isikel. “Meeting the medical needs of Texans and providing much-needed supply-chain resiliency is our top priority, and this expansion enhances our ability to manufacture and distribute much-needed supplies domestically.”
This announcement comes on the heels of Isikel securing financing from Cadence Bank. The purpose of the initial funding from the new credit facility is to ramp up nitrile glove production.

The company expects nitrile glove production to begin in fall 2022. Once fully operational, the site will have the capacity to produce nearly 440 million nitrile gloves per year, followed by the production of saline solutions in the months after.

The new facility is located at 28350 West Ten Blvd., Katy, TX 77494.
