WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Trinity Life Sciences, a leader in global life sciences commercialization solutions, released its latest TGaS report entitled, Reimagining Work Models in the Life Sciences: Implications for the Future of Work. The study is the first of its kind for the life sciences industry as it provides objective data to help companies make informed decisions about how and where employees should work. The paper finds that remote working did not have any negative impact on perceived achievement of intended outcomes. In fact, employees rated achievement of intended work outcomes 16% higher when working remotely/virtually and positive impact on work-life balance, development, autonomy, connectedness and contribution was rated up to 54% higher.
The study also reveals that collaborating using mixed live/virtual channels contributes to lowest outcomes and personal impact factors.
“This is an exciting opportunity for life sciences companies to be more intentional about future work-model decisions and policies and take a test-and-learn approach to designing work for functional teams. We’re learning so much about how to meet business targets while also optimizing retention and recruitment goals,” said Kristin Scott, Executive Director, Learning and Development Solution, TGaS Advisors, a Division of Trinity.
The study is based on the responses of 20 full-time Commercial Operations employees at a pharmaceutical company over a five-month period, with a total of 545 unique survey submissions. The survey data was compared to additional data collected from commercial employees at other life science companies in the TGaS member network. More than 10,000 data points are represented in the study findings.
