LIVERMORE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--S2 Genomics, a manufacturer of automated tissue sample preparation systems, announced today at the Advances in Genome Biology and Technology (AGBT) 2022 general meeting the launch of the NIC+ Small Sample Cartridge for nuclei isolations from solid tissue. When used with the Singulator 100 TM System, the NIC+ cartridges automate the processing of solid tissue samples into suspensions of single nuclei with high yields and from sub-20 mg samples for a wide range of single-cell biology and genomic analyses.
Researchers are often faced with the challenge of isolating nuclei from scarce, precious samples. Samples less than 20 mg are often too small in size for efficient and reliable processing by manual methods. To ensure that researchers can isolate nuclei from sub-20 mg samples with consistency, the NIC+ cartridge (P/N 100-215-389) was developed for the Singulator 100 platform. A series of experiments were conducted to establish the performance of the NIC+ cartridges with respect to nuclei yield and quality.
“We’ve demonstrated that the NIC+ cartridge yields more, higher quality nuclei than the standard nuclei isolation cartridges,” said Dr. Stevan Jovanovich, President and CEO of S2 Genomics.
The NIC+ Small Volume cartridges will begin shipping in July 2022.
