NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Adding to its ongoing capital raise, Robocast Inc., which owns the patents for the now ubiquitous AutoPlay for Streaming, has secured a follow-on investment from Brown Venture Group (BVG), a venture capital firm exclusively for Black, Latino and Indigenous founded and led technology companies.
“We are honored to receive support from Brown Venture Group, members of the largest network of diverse-owned private equity firms and hedge funds in America,” said Damon C. Torres Founder and CEO of Robocast. “As a BIPOC entrepreneur, one of my many goals is to support and inspire other diverse entrepreneurs in the technology industry as the team at BVG does today. As we prepare for our public relaunch, we would like to also thank Warecorp – one of our most strategic vendors and investors – for their years of quality software publishing on behalf of Robocast and for introducing us to BVG. We are honored to grow our team with these strategic partnerships.”
Dr. Paul Campbell and Dr. Chris Brooks are BVG’s managing partners and Warecorp CEO, Chris Dykstra, and its COO, Jerome Hamilton, are general partners. “At both Warecorp and BVG, we have partnered with some of the most innovative tech firms in the industry, including Robocast,” said Hamilton. “We support Robocast’s vision and look forward to working with their standout team during this exciting period of innovation.”
“It has been our pleasure to introduce Damon to the managing partners at BVG after our years of custom software engineering and publishing for Robocast,” Dykstra added. “We’re excited to continue to explore Robocast’s potential and bring Damon’s ingenious ideas to life. We think Robocast’s inventions have great utility in today’s market.”
Robocast and its investors, board members and strategic partners are gearing up in preparation for the relaunch of the company’s patented AutoPlay technologies later this year.
