Link Logistics Named 2022 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year

Link is the first industrial real estate company to receive this recognition

NEW YORK--()--Link Logistics Real Estate (“Link” or the “Company”), the operator and owner of the largest U.S.-only portfolio of logistics real estate, today announced that it has received the 2022 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Link is the first company in the industrial real estate sector to receive this recognition, which distinguishes the top corporate energy management programs.

Link properties represented 25 percent of all ENERGY STAR-certified square footage across the distribution center, non-refrigerated warehouse and refrigerated warehouse asset classes – more than the next five companies in its sector combined. Link’s climate action plan includes achieving 100 percent carbon neutral operations by 2025, transitioning to 100 percent renewable energy by 2024, converting 100 percent of its portfolio to LED lighting by 2025 and installing 300 megawatts of solar by 2025.

“We’re honored to be the first industrial real estate company in history to earn ENERGY STAR’s Partner of the Year award,” said Sam Stockdale, Link’s vice president, Environmental Sustainability. “We thank ENERGY STAR for recognizing our ambitious goal of benchmarking 100 percent of our properties in its Portfolio Manager tool. Minimizing our environmental impact is core to our business, and this award validates our relentless focus on energy management.”

“We know it’s going to take all of us working together to tackle the climate crisis, and the 2022 ENERGY STAR award-winning partners are demonstrating what it takes to build a more sustainable future,” said EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan. “These companies are showing once again that taking action in support of a clean energy economy can be good not only for the environment, but also for business and customers.”

Each year, the ENERGY STAR program honors a group of businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy achievements. ENERGY STAR award winners lead their industries in the production, sale and adoption of energy-efficient products, homes, buildings, services, and strategies. These efforts are essential to fighting the climate crisis and protecting public health.

Winners are selected from a network of thousands of ENERGY STAR partners. For a complete list of 2022 winners and more information about ENERGY STAR’s awards program, visit energystar.gov/awardwinners. To learn more about Link’s ESG program, visit https://www.linklogistics.com/esg.
