SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CLARA Analytics (“CLARA”), the leading provider of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the commercial insurance industry, today announced that it has made two new strategic hires, adding Ram Rangaraj as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer and enlisting Mubbin Rabbani as the new Vice President of Product.
Ram Rangaraj is a veteran IT leader with over two decades of experience at Kaiser Permanente, where he served in a range of technology leadership roles, most recently as Senior Director of Revenue Management Integration Engineering. During his tenure at Kaiser, he led numerous strategic IT initiatives, including the innovative application of data analytics to improve the company’s claims management performance.
Rangaraj will lead the evolution and operations of CLARA’s AI platform, serving as a core member of the executive leadership team and reporting directly to CLARA CEO Heather H. Wilson. “Ram Rangaraj is an elite performer,” said Wilson. “He’s a perfect fit for our leadership team, which aims to continuously innovate, to go the extra mile for our customers, and to focus obsessively on creating value for our customers and their stakeholders. Ram offers over two decades of experience using data analytics to drive better outcomes. As a member of CLARA’s leadership team, he’ll have an opportunity to apply that knowledge to even greater effect. We see this as a win-win for CLARA, for Ram, and for our customers.”
“CLARA Analytics is leading the way — not just in the practical application of AI to achieve real-world results,” said Rangaraj, “but also in the innovative approaches it has brought to its use of technology, employing serverless architecture and other game-changing strategies that ultimately produce even more value for CLARA’s customers. I’m very happy to be joining an organization that has staked out such a strong leadership position in this industry.”
CLARA has also hired Mubbin Rabbani to be its new VP of Product. Rabbani has over 15 years of product management experience focusing on commercial insurance claims. Prior to joining CLARA, he served in senior product leadership positions at Liberty Mutual, Agero, and Deloitte.
As a member of CLARA’s executive leadership team reporting directly to the CEO, Rabbani will steward the company’s product vision, ensuring that CLARA’s offerings continue to build even greater customer value. “I’m excited to be joining CLARA Analytics,” said Rabbani. “This company has demonstrated that AI can generate very meaningful ROI in the claims management space. They’re leading the way on the focused, practical use of AI in ways that complement the skills and professional judgment of experienced claims managers. It’s not just good for insurers, it directly benefits injured workers as well because CLARA’s technology drives better medical outcomes. That’s positively impacting people’s lives, and I’m excited to be part of it.”
“Our product links technology to business value,” added Wilson. “But we’re also improving people’s everyday lives, lightening the load for overburdened claims managers and helping injured employees recover more quickly. Mubbin Rabbani is the perfect person to carry that vision forward as CLARA expands its footprint in the insurtech space. We’re excited to have him on board.”
