HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CommentSold, the leading digital commerce solution that enables retail businesses to unlock sales growth through live and social selling, today announced that it has appointed Andy Olek as Chief Legal Officer. Olek has expertise in fast-growth software, advertising, marketplace and e-commerce businesses and will oversee the legal affairs of the live selling company, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, intellectual property and licensing, privacy, and compliance. He has particular experience in scaling fast-growth companies to rapidly add new products, services and geographies.
“At this phase in CommentSold’s growth, it is important that we have the right internal legal infrastructure in place to support the many product and organizational initiatives we have planned,” said Brandon Kruse, founder and CEO of CommentSold. “We are excited to add Andy to our team, as he is a seasoned executive with 20-plus years of experience who brings a strategic lens to legal and regulatory affairs.”
Before joining CommentSold, Olek was General Counsel at WeddingWire and its successor, The Knot Worldwide, for over 9 years. Before joining The Knot, Olek held in-house legal roles at Blackboard and Merkle and was a corporate and intellectual property attorney at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. He began gaining leadership experience early in his career, while serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
