Alumni Ventures Is Recognized as 2022 Webby Awards Official Honoree in 3 Categories

The firm’s website was recognized for best use of animation, best user experience, and best visual design

MANCHESTER, N.H.--()--Alumni Ventures (AV), one of the world’s most active venture capital firms, has been selected as a 2022 Webby Awards Official Honoree in the category of Best User Experience for its new website. The award was one of three categories where AV was named an honoree, along with accolades for the site’s use of animation and visual design. AV launched its new website last year in partnership with Swedish digital agency Varvet.

Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet.

“We are thrilled to have our work recognized by an organization as respected as the Webby Awards,” said Michael Giordano, Senior Director of Nurture Marketing and Web at Alumni Ventures. “We set out to create a web experience unique to our industry to simplify interaction and create even stronger relationships among our community of investors, entrepreneurs, supporters, and innovators. It’s an honor that our effort is being recognized by the academy’s outstanding group of leading industry professionals and our peers.”

The 26th Annual Webby Awards attracted more than 14,300 entries from all 50 states and 70 countries worldwide this year. Winners were selected by a panel of industry experts from Backstage Capital, Clubhouse, Disney, The New York Times, Niantic, Peloton, TikTok, The Washington Post, and others.

“Honorees like Alumni Ventures are setting the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet,” said Claire Graves, President of The Webby Awards. “It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from more than 14,300 entries we received this year.”

The all-new Alumni Ventures website has also been named a finalist by the Financial Communications Society for the 28th Annual FCS Portfolio Awards in the category of visual identity. The award will be announced live at a Gala Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 5, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in NYC.
