NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UnitedLex, a leading technology and legal services company, today announced that Terry Theologides, General Counsel of Fannie Mae, has joined UnitedLex's board of directors - strategy council.
As the remote work environment continues to drive digitization across legal departments and as Gartner calls technology "the most obvious solution" for flattened staffing budgets and increased legal work loads, UnitedLex has experienced great demand for its suite of solutions. Theologides will help guide the company with respect to its law department operating system and data science strategy, bringing decades of legal and business expertise to the board.
“Terry is one of the most prominent and thoughtful legal minds in the industry," said Dan Reed, CEO, UnitedLex. “We're looking forward to bringing his expertise to our company, which will help us best navigate the current market demand and advance legal in a holistic manner."
A graduate of Princeton and Columbia Law, Theologides has over 20 years of legal and business experience. In his current position, he oversees the Legal Department as well as Government and Industry Relations and serves as senior advisor to the CEO and the Board of Directors at Fannie Mae. Prior to his role at Fannie Mae, Theologides was the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at CoreLogic where he helped drive the company’s strategic and innovative initiatives as well as compliance, information security, internal audit, and enterprise risk.
“UnitedLex is an industry leader when it comes to the transformation of legal and business data,” said Theologides. “I'm looking forward to partnering with the board and Dan to meet this tremendous opportunity in the market."
Theologides appointment comes after Mike Fucci, the former Deloitte executive chairman, joined the company in 2021.
