HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land, the 8-time GM Dealer of the Year Award winner and the premier Chevrolet Dealer of Houston, welcomes John Rodkey as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Rodkey will be part of the executive leadership team at Classic, where he will accelerate technology development to enhance employee productivity and provide consumers with the best experience possible.
Rodkey brings over 20 years of experience building, scaling, and optimizing organizational workflows and technology solutions. Most recently, John served as an advisor to SellYourCar.com, where he focused on simplifying the process for consumers to sell their cars. Prior to SellYourCar.com, John served as the CIO at Vroom.com (NASDAQ: VRM) and was one of the early leaders responsible for building out the technology and infrastructure teams in New York City, Dallas, and Houston. Prior to Vroom.com, John served as CTO of Texas Direct Auto - the largest independent dealer in the nation and the largest eBay Motors seller, where he was responsible for adopting cloud technologies and building Texas Direct Auto’s first e-commerce site. John is a co-inventor of more than 15 US patents and is a co-founder of NowIMS.com - an intelligence management and reporting platform that has been used by Fort Bend ISD as the district’s “See Something, Share Something” reporting application for students, staff, and the community, as well as the National Football League for multiple Super Bowls, Pro Bowls, and international games.

Rodkey will bring his collaboration and technology prowess, working with the design, marketing, and business teams to evaluate, understand, and develop worthwhile technology applications.
