NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits Inc. (“Diamond Estates” or “the Company”) (DWS-TSX Venture) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Howard as Chief Operating Officer for Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits Inc. effective April 1, 2022. Andrew has been part of the Company’s senior management team since the acquisition of Equity Wine Group in the fall of 2021.
Prior to joining Diamond Estates, Andrew was President of Equity Wine Group which produced high-quality VQA wines, including the Creekside and Queenston Mile brands, through its facilities in the Niagara Region, close to Diamond’s Lakeview location. Andrew will be dedicated to the management of the domestic wine business in which the Company sees significant opportunities for profitable growth and expansion.

Andrew has been involved with Equity Wine Group, owners of Creekside Estates and Queenston Mile Vineyards, from its inception, and has led the organization through its growth as a leading VQA company. Andrew has an extensive and relevant background for this role having also been a senior executive with Arterra, Labatt and Pepsi prior to founding the Equity Wine Group. Andrew is well known in the industry for his commitment to Ontario wines and will add greatly to the Company’s success.
Andrew will work closely with Diamond Estates’ President & CEO, Murray Souter, and CFO, Ryan Conte, to ensure the Company is achieving maximum efficiencies in the markets in which it participates.
