MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the second year in a row, Barron’s has ranked JNBA Financial Advisors CEO Richard S. Brown the top financial advisor in Minnesota. While Brown has taken the top spot on Barron’s Minnesota list a total of four times -- in 2014, 2018, 2021, and 2022 -- this is the first time he has received back-to-back top advisor nods. Richard and JNBA have been named to Barron’s list of the 1,200 top advisors in the country for 13 consecutive years.
“The fact that Barron’s has recognized Richard and JNBA as the top financial advisor in the state for the past two years is a milestone. We also couldn’t be more proud to represent independent firms - particularly during the pandemic,” says Kim Brown, president of JNBA Financial Advisors. “This recognition reinforces the value a fiercely independent financial partner provides for the individuals and families we work with. In this period of volatility and uncertainty, we have been able to walk alongside our clients to provide the steady support, disciplined process, and passionate advocacy our multigenerational team has honed over the past four decades.”
According to Barron’s, the rankings are based on assets under management, revenues generated by advisors for their firms, and the quality of the advisors’ practices. The rankings can be found in the March 14 issue of Barron’s Magazine and on Barrons.com.
JNBA has posted a more-than-97-percent client retention rate since tracking began in 2001, and its business is continuing to grow and thrive with nearly $1.4 billion in assets under management today. The firm’s dedication to being an advocate for its clients, employees, and community has fueled its continued growth, including opening offices in Duluth, Minn. and Bonita Springs, Fla. and its expansion of family office services. JNBA’s family office services offer a contemporary model that provides fiduciary oversight and services — from strategy to implementation — for busy, high-net-worth families who are looking to simplify their financial lives, whether they’re C-level executives, business owners, high-profile professional athletes, or other types of families with significant wealth.
“Our deep commitment to our clients, no matter if they’re individuals, family offices, or foundations, is at the heart of everything we do,” says CEO Richard S. Brown. “All of us at JNBA are grateful for the trust our clients put in us; it’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly.”
