WILMINGTON, N.C.--()--Whether it’s new technologies, remote work, or generational shifts, the rapidly evolving world of work is primed to reward the agile learner. But what is learning agility and how can one capitalize on this opportunity to reap the rewards?

The new book, Developing Learning Agility: Using the Burke Assessments, is authored by David Hoff, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Leadership Development at EASI Consult, and W. Warner Burke, Emeritus Professor of Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University and developer of the learning agility items used to create the Burke Learning Agility Inventory (LAI). This and the other Burke assessments, along with this new book, offers a set of practical activities readers can apply in work settings to develop learning agility.

“Hoff and Burke help us understand the criticality of learning agility, which of their assessments to use, and most importantly, how to develop this capability,” said Dr. Kimberly Johnson, Author, CEO of Janson Associates and former Chief Talent Officer at HJ Heinz Company. “The well-researched foundation of their assessments, coupled with their ideas for practical application, is a go-to for professionals looking to gain an edge in the war for talent.”

In their previous book, Learning Agility: The Key to Leader Potential, Hoff and Burke effectively defined learning agility, summarized the research behind the assessments, and described what the demonstration of each of the nine dimensions identified looks like in a work setting. Developing Learning Agility: Using the Burke Assessments offers an in-depth look at those nine dimensions and the 38 behaviors associated with learning agility that can be developed in a work setting.

“After learning about the nine dimensions of the Burke Assessments and that each of the 38 items on the assessment are behavioral, the next step is learning how to develop each of those items or behaviors,” said Hoff. “That is the focus of this book, and we’re excited to share what we’ve learned with our readers, based on work with our customer leaders and their Coaches.”

Developing Learning Agility: Using the Burke Assessments is on sale now, and can be purchased on Amazon.
