SeatGeek Named to Fast Company’s List of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2022

Commemorates SeatGeek’s third time on the list for its innovative technology and approach to reimagining the live-event experience

NEW YORK--()--SeatGeek, the high-growth technology platform that is transforming the live-event experience for fans, teams, and venues, today announced it was named to Fast Company’s annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2022, in the Live Events sector. Fast Company’s list honors businesses that are making the biggest impact on their industries and cultures. The announcement marks SeatGeek’s third time making this list in the last five years – more than any other major live-event ticketing company.

This honor is recognizing the waves of innovation that SeatGeek has brought to the industry, ushering in a new era of live-events,” said SeatGeek CEO and Co-Founder, Jack Groetzinger. “Our talented team is constantly reimagining and reinventing what an event ticket should be, pushing the boundaries of what fans, teams, and venues should expect. And it’s simple: expect more. To go from scrappy startup to being continually listed next to some of the most respected technology brands in the world is incredibly humbling.”

SeatGeek made Fast Company’s 2022 list for breaking new ground during a roller coaster year of uncertainty in and around the live event industry. After the pandemic brought the industry to a standstill, the company focused on building superior live-event features when venues were ready to return to full capacity:

  • SeatGeek Adapt – A suite of product features designed to help teams and venues get fans back to events safely following COVID-19 related shutdowns.
  • SeatGeek Rally – Modern ticketing at its finest, giving fans an updated set of features, or Widgets, directly in the app to get driving directions to the stadium, order food directly from their seats, purchase merchandise, book a Lyft home, and much more.
  • SeatGeek Swaps – An industry-first amongst major ticketers, created to give fans the flexibility they need and want. Fans can return their ticket for 100% credit on a future purchase, no questions asked.

SeatGeek also reimagined its look and feel, launching a new brand to bring more hype and humanity to customers.

SeatGeek’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) continues to lead the industry and its Trustpilot rating of 4.3 out of 5 is by far the highest score for any major ticketing app. Its customer-focused approach and inventive features helped it attract some of the largest names in sports and live entertainment in 2021, signing new box clients like Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment (which operates Barclay’s Center, Brooklyn Nets, and New York Liberty), Cleveland Cavaliers, and Jujamcyn Theaters (which operates five Broadway theaters). These rightsholders joined a growing list of over 275 clients that have chosen to partner with SeatGeek.

The World’s Most Innovative Companies is Fast Company’s signature franchise and one of its most highly anticipated editorial efforts of the year. It provides both a snapshot and a road map for the future of innovation across the most dynamic sectors of the economy.
