NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Muck Rack today announced that it recently appointed Linda Zebian as Director of Communications, a newly created role. As Muck Rack’s communications lead, Linda will set communications strategy for Muck Rack’s enterprise, both internally and externally, including messaging, issues management, media relations and employee communications.
Linda joins Muck Rack from The New York Times, where she spent 10 years in various communications positions, developing and executing communications strategies for the business side of the company including Growth, Product and Technology to reinforce The Times’ innovation and financial success, drive subscription growth and improve retention, strengthen brand affinity and attract top talent. Most recently she served as a freelance Communications Advisor, and before that, as Executive Director, Corporate Communications. She also served as both a Director and Manager of Corporate Communications during her tenure.
Prior to joining The Times, Linda was Communications Associate at Consumer Reports and also served as conference content manager and associate editor at Folio, a b-to-b publication. She began her career at Images & Details, a boutique lifestyle PR agency.
Her appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for Muck Rack, the public relations management (PRM) software platform that enables organizations to build trust, tell their stories and demonstrate the unique value of earned media. The company, which welcomed 65 new employees in 2021, bringing its total to 150, plans to add more than 100 more to its roster of fully-remote staff in 2022.
