BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lura Health, an innovative medical device company developing the first wearable salivary diagnostic health monitoring system, announced today that the National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded the company a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR Ph II) grant.
The SBIR Ph II grant is a 24-month, $1M award that will be used to complete research and development of the Lura Health monitoring system. This award will accelerate progress towards a regulatory submission and an expected market release in 2023.

This award brings Lura Health’s total funding amount to $2.5M and provides eligibility for an additional $500k in matching funds from the NSF. Lura Health is currently raising a series-seed financing round, expecting to close in Q2 2022.
