CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bartesian announces a new downtown Chicago headquarters following record sales of its top rated intelligent cocktail maker. Bartesian makes lounge-quality drinks at the push of a button and delivers all of the benefits of a fully-stocked bar in one sleek and compact machine.
Bartesian’s new headquarters, at 452 N. Sangamon St., will enable the company to hire dozens of new team members this year as the company continues growing rapidly. The historic two-story barrel truss building features rustic timber beams, brick and iron throughout and a stunning main floor with expansive open spaces and soaring 16-foot ceilings. Located in bustling Fulton Market, the newly redeveloped property boasts creative office space, large collaboration areas and a commercial kitchen. Multiple skylights and windows flood the building with natural light. Bartesian plans to transform the property’s lower level into a private, invite-only speakeasy bar that will debut its innovative and highly-anticipated cocktail recipes.
“Bartesian is extremely proud to call Chicago home and we’re honored to put down deeper roots here,” said Ryan Close, Founder and CEO of Bartesian. “Last year was a record year for Bartesian and with dozens of new products and additional retail partnerships planned, this year is shaping up to be even bigger. We want to thank Governor Pritzker and Mayor Lightfoot for all of their support in not only helping Bartesian grow but also in nurturing Chicago’s exciting tech ecosystem we’re thrilled to be a part of.”
“Illinois is proud to be the home base of Bartesian: a pioneer in the industry, and a testament to our state’s leadership in innovation across sectors,” said Governor JB Pritzker. “In addition to the jobs and opportunities the company’s expansion brings to Illinois’ workforce, Bartesian’s new headquarters further expand Chicago’s global reputation as a technology hub. Add to that a record-breaking year for Chicago startups, and it’s clear that Illinois is poised to lead in the innovation economy for years to come.”
Bartesian’s move to Fulton Market comes as Google, Dyson and numerous technology startups have opened offices in the neighborhood, establishing it as the city’s new tech hub. Bartesian’s new space, at nearly 10,000 square feet, is more than five times the size of its current headquarters at 303 W Erie St. Since debuting its first machine in 2019 and pioneering the on-demand, premium cocktail category, Bartesian saw revenue increase by triple digits in 2021 for the second straight year. The company has attracted a number of big-name supporters including actress Mila Kunis, who serves on the company’s board and Oprah who has named Bartesian one of her favorite things.
Because of Bartesian’s commitment to invest in the local economy through capital investments and long-term job creation, the company has also qualified for support from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) through the EDGE incentive program, which is one of the many ways the State of Illinois supports new or expanding businesses.
"We are excited to support Bartesian’s expansion in Illinois - their decision to grow and innovate here demonstrates the strength of Illinois' workforce and position as a leader in research and development," said Acting DCEO Director Sylvia I. Garcia. "Under Governor Pritzker's leadership, Illinois continues to invest in programs and initiatives that strengthen our economic ecosystem and attract more businesses to our great state.”
Bartesian can be purchased at Bartesian.com or in all of the top major retailers, including Macy’s, Williams-Sonoma and Target. More than 40 unique cocktails are available with new recipes like Lemon Drop, Amaretto Sour and Blackberry Margarita debuting monthly.
