FLORENCE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Award-winning director Roger Sorkin and critically-acclaimed American Resilience Project (ARP) are set to premiere their latest documentary, FARM FREE OR DIE. Over the past decade, ARP has delivered compelling, non-partisan documentaries to members on Capitol Hill, military leaders within the Pentagon, security experts at NATO HQ, clean energy executives, investors, and communities across the United States. FARM FREE OR DIE highlights the need for transformative agricultural policies that improve farming livelihoods and open market opportunities for carbon sequestration and removal. Farmers on the front lines and investors around the world identify carbon sequestration as their best weapon against severe environmental and economic adversity, while simultaneously creating immediate financial opportunities and incentives for innovation in the agtech industry.

Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) is hosting the world premiere of FARM FREE OR DIE on Tuesday, February 8 at 1:30pm EST. This event includes a virtual screening of the film (25 min), followed by a discussion with director Roger Sorkin, Professor Keith Paustian (Colorado State University), and Trey Hill (owner of Harborview Farms, Maryland), moderated by Nicole Lederer (Executive Director, E2). American Resilience Project is launching an impact campaign for the film leading up to the 2023 Farm Bill, with plans to screen the film at conferences, film festivals, universities, government offices, agtech businesses and farm alliances. With guidance from E2, ARP is also developing an impact toolkit with discussion guides and action items for future screening partners in the education, business and policy sectors.

The American Resilience Project and its partners have used its previous films to raise public awareness, achieve policy success, open commercial market opportunities, and encourage investments at the state and federal levels. These successes include direct engagement by ARP partners with the South Carolina legislature to help win passage of the South Carolina Energy Freedom Act, which incentivized solar and storage financing across the state. At the Federal level, ARP films have been screened with key members of the U.S House and Senate Armed Services Committees to win support for energy resilience language in the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act.
