FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Philanthropist Allen Temiz, of WIZZA, and HANDY joined together as Mr. Temiz hosted a “Secret Santa Giveaway” for 100 underprivileged youth on Friday, December 10 at Walmart in Hialeah, FL.
During the special inaugural event, 100 underprivileged youth (ages 6-18) from HANDY were surprised with dinner and a $500 gift card to go on a fun-filled holiday shopping spree, purchasing items for themselves and their families to enjoy this holiday season. Customized “Secret Santa Giveaway” t-shirts were given out and worn by the children as they happily filled their carts to the brim with electronics, bikes, toys and more. All funds for the shopping spree, dinner for the kids and T-shirts were provided by Philanthropist, Allen Temiz, of WIZZA.
“I wanted to find a way to give back this holiday season in a big way. A way where I had an impact on many in my community. Providing a memorable Christmas and necessities for those who need it most this time of year was why I partnered with HANDY. I have embraced HANDY’s vision of providing a smile to each one of HANDY's youth this holiday season,” said Philanthropist Allen Temiz.
This year has brought on many new challenges for more than 400 HANDY youth and their caregivers. Thanks to generous donors like Mr. Allen Temiz and WIZZA, HANDY can continue to spread the holiday cheer and provide support to our community.
