LEHI, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BUKU Ship, the leader in intelligent AI Powered shipping solutions, announced today it has raised $5 million in Series A funding, led by Pando Ventures, following the appointment of Ken W. Muir as Chief Executive Officer in August, 2021.
Muir, 52, is a software veteran with over 25 years of experience leading both public and private companies. Muir was the former CEO of GWAVA which he led to a very successful acquisition in 2016 by Micro Focus, a $4B public company. Muir has held numerous positions including Chief Technology Officer of a $1B public company, VP & General Manager of a leading Artificial Intelligence and Analytics Business and Chief Revenue Officer. Muir is a distinguished alumnus of the University of Utah College of Engineering and a PLD graduate of Harvard Business School.
Additionally, BUKU is announcing that David Field, former executive from DHL has joined the BUKU team as Chief Revenue Officer and Bryce Romney, former Vice President of Product at SwipeClock has joined the team as Chief Product Officer. Field has over 20 years of sales and sales leadership experience in the logistics industry, having worked for a large multinational logistics organization to thriving startups. Romney brings deep SaaS product expertise building highly valued scalable solutions for the enterprise as well as the SMB markets.
