RIDGELAND, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the ninth consecutive year, BankPlus has been named one of the Best Banks to Work For by American Banker and Best Companies Group. The Best Banks to Work For program identifies, recognizes and honors the best places of employment in the banking industry across the United States. Since the program’s inception in 2013, BankPlus is one of only seven banks throughout the country to have been selected Best Banks to Work For all nine years of the program.
“We are honored to receive this award once again,” BankPlus President and CEO Bill Ray said. “Our continued growth and success are directly attributed to our employees’ efforts, dedication and hard work. One of the comments we receive from our employees each year is, ‘Bank Plus feels like a family,’ and we believe that is what sets us apart from other financial institutions.”
The study is performed by the Best Companies Group, which conducts an employer questionnaire detailing the company policies, practices and demographics as well as an employee engagement and satisfaction survey. The combined scores from the employer questionnaire and employee surveys determine the top banks and the final rankings.
“At BankPlus, we strive to add value for our employees with a positive work environment, wonderful benefits, a collaborative team atmosphere and by building meaningful and lasting relationships,” BankPlus Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Alison Tyler said. “Our culture of empowerment shows our employees that they are valued and appreciated.”
Full results of this year’s program are available at American Banker and in the November issue of American Banker Magazine. The program is open to commercial banks, thrifts, savings banks and other chartered retail financial institutions in the United States with at least 50 employees.
