Portico Property Management Enters Phoenix Multifamily Market, Adds Two Senior-Level Leaders to Grow Southwest Portfolio

Leading Texas-Based Property Management Firm Expands Footprint

PHOENIX--()--A highly regarded Texas-based multifamily property management firm is entering the Phoenix market, bringing on two industry veterans to grow the company’s footprint into the Southwest.

Portico Property Management, which oversees more than 10,000 multifamily units in 40 communities nationwide, is taking over its first property in Arizona this week with more transactions pending by the end of the year.

To help oversee the expansion, Portico Property Management is adding on two highly experienced industry leaders. Robert Hicks and Trisha Roud-Satterlund are joining Portico’s team to open its Phoenix base of operations.

Hicks and Roud-Satterlund each have a distinguished resume and a history of serving both Institutional and family offices at a high level. They were integral to the growth of Alliance Residential into the 4th largest management company in the nation prior to its acquisition by Greystar.

“Phoenix had long been a coveted target market for us as its demographic and high job-growth profile dovetail nicely with our Texas base of operations,” says Darren Williams, President of Portico Property Management. “We are also extremely fortunate to have two stalwarts in the Arizona market leading the launch of this important initiative.”

Hicks previously served as a Senior Managing Director of Real Estate at Greystar, with oversight of the company’s operations in the Desert Region, including Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico, totaling more than 75,000 units across 200 communities. Prior to transitioning to Greystar, Robert was a Division President for Alliance Residential for 13 years. His background encompasses all aspects of multifamily housing operations, asset management, new business, and financial analysis. He is a graduate of Arizona State University.

“I am excited about the opportunity to help Portico Property Management develop a footprint in Arizona and the Southwest,” Hicks said. “The Phoenix market is one of the most dynamic multifamily markets in the country, and this is a tremendous opportunity to help a highly regarded property management company create a strong presence.”

Roud-Satterlund previously served as a Senior Director at Greystar as well as a regional vice president for Alliance Residential Company. She has more than eight years of experience in the multifamily industry and an extensive knowledge of the Arizona market. She is a graduate of Northern Arizona University.

“Portico Property Management has an exceptional reputation in the multifamily industry and will be an exciting addition to the Phoenix market and the Southwest region,” Roud-Satterlund said. “I am looking forward to being part of the team and helping Portico provide an exceptional level of service to both residents and property owners.”

Currently, Portico is focusing its expansion in the metropolitan areas of Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Nashville, Phoenix and the greater Southwest. At the same time, the company is committed to providing excellent service, and is committing significant resources to the region to ensure that it has the best support teams for the impending growth.
