GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--W. R. Berkley Corporation (NYSE: WRB) today announced the appointment of John Henle as president of Union Standard Insurance Group (Union Standard). He succeeds B. Keith Mitchell, who has been named chairman of Union Standard. The appointments are effective immediately.
Mr. Henle joins Union Standard with more than 20 years of multi-line insurance experience, focused on management and distribution. He most recently served as head of district operations at a leading U.S. property casualty and financial services group. He holds a B.A. from the University of Nevada.
Mr. Mitchell joined Union Standard in 1998 and was named president in 2014. He has been critical in leading Union Standard’s success in the south-central U.S. commercial property casualty insurance market. As chairman, he will continue to share his insights and expertise, while engaging in other special projects and initiatives for W. R Berkley Corporation.
