Zayo is building more than 170 miles of new fiber to add diversity to a key route between Denver and Dallas, two major tech hubs. Completion of the project is anticipated by the end of September 2022 and will result in new, direct fiber connectivity to hundreds of buildings in the Denver area. Driving demand for connectivity is both Denver’s position as a top-ranked tech talent market and the technology focus of the area's major industry sectors which include aerospace, broadcast and telecommunications, financial services, and IT-software.

Zayo is also rolling out a new product offer to new and existing customers in the greater Denver area. According to a report from the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation (EDC), Colorado ranked fourth for high-tech employment concentration in 2019 and the state has ranked in the top four nationally since 2000. As a result of the pandemic, employment in the IT-software service industry has also grown in Metro Denver, particularly within cloud infrastructure, online security and specialized software solutions.
