DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alternative student transportation company ALC Schools (ALC) today announced the appointment of Trung Nguyen as Senior Vice President of Operations. Nguyen joins ALC with more than 20 years of experience in operations, last mile delivery, e-commerce, and next-generation fulfillment.

Nguyen is a results-oriented operational leader, having most recently served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Shipt, a grocery delivery services organization owned by Target Corp. While at Shipt, he led the transformation of Shipt’s operational team into a multi-layered organization focused on service, data, and financial sustainability. Prior to that, he was Vice President of E-Commerce Fulfillment for Albertsons/Safeway, where he managed and led Albertsons Last Mile Strategy, “Drive Up and Go” program, Micro Fulfillment Center and third-party partnerships. During his career with Albertsons/Safeway, he also held a number of other roles, overseeing the implementation of several strategic initiatives related to store operations, mergers and partner/labor management, as well as management roles in industrial engineering.
Early in his career, Nguyen served as a senior project engineer for Starbucks, and prior to that, a retail operations engineer for Kroger. Nguyen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University.
As Executive Vice President of Operations for ALC Schools, Nguyen will be responsible improving operational efficiencies, as well as expanding and developing the internal and field operations teams.
Nguyen is based out of ALC Schools’ corporate headquarters location in Denver, Colo.
