SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sono Bello, the largest aesthetic surgery practice in the world, announced the launch of its Aesthetic Fellowship, an immersive, six-week training in a range of aesthetic procedures available to surgeons nationwide.
The highly focused fellowship combines hands-on learning and a robust curriculum that will provide graduates with patient-focused training in awake total body liposuction and skin excision procedures. Fellowship graduates are offered employment upon completion at one of Sono Bello’s growing network of 70 centers, including a compensation package that exceeds industry benchmarks.
Dr. Christopher Chung, chief medical officer for Sono Bello and creator of the fellowship program, said: “This program gives all surgeons the opportunity to learn our procedures, share in our collaboration and be a part of a team of medical professionals that help patients reach desired results while keeping safety and education a priority.”
The fellowship is open to any board-certified or board-eligible surgeon passionate about helping patients on their transformation journeys while enjoying a career with abundant opportunity for financial reward and work-life balance. Unlike typical fellowships, the Aesthetic Fellowship is focused exclusively on the procedures offered at Sono Bello, allowing the training to be completed in just six weeks for most candidates.
The nonaccredited fellowship program is run by members of Sono Bello’s medical leadership team and includes members of Sono Bello’s clinical teams. Hosted at one of 10 training centers nationwide, each program mentor focuses on working with one fellowship participant at a time, to ensure focused training and to provide the opportunity for ample hands-on experience.
Surgeons who successfully complete the fellowship will work with Sono Bello at one of the company’s 70 centers nationwide. Surgeons practicing at Sono Bello enjoy regular hours and do not need to provide on-call coverage.
Dr. David R. Reitter recently completed his fellowship in 2021 and says the opportunities it provides are significant.
“After 21 years of working to serve the healthcare needs of the community, I found the administrative roadblocks and hurdles of the insurance and government-based system to be stifling and suffocating,” he said. “I began to look for a change to bring energy and joy back to my career and found Sono Bello with their strong company track record and vision for growth.”
Reitter noted that the quality of the fellowship enhanced his experience. “I had the opportunity to work with one of the most tenured surgeons within Sono Bello, and the training I received has given me a new lease on my career,” he added.
