Virtual Event Will Feature Sessions Highlighting New Innovations in Sustainable Building Practices

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Saint-Gobain, through its building products subsidiary CertainTeed Canada Inc., today announced its annual Canadian Architectural Symposium will take place this year from November 16-17. The Architectural Symposium is an exclusive, by invitation only annual event offering continuing education opportunities, industry knowledge and a showcase of new products and innovations, in a safe, virtual environment, for architects, developers, and designers. The event is an opportunity for the building materials manufacturer to connect with and learn from its architect partners, and this year’s theme will follow Saint-Gobain’s mission of making the world a better home.

“Making the world a better home speaks to the heart of Saint-Gobain and this journey that we’re on, which is rooted in innovation, challenges the status quo, and unlocks new value for our customers and the communities we live and work in,” said Richard Juggery, Chief Executive Officer, Saint-Gobain and CertainTeed Canada Inc. “As historical market leaders, we have the responsibility, and the power, to better inhabit the planet, and the architects we partner with are the ones dreaming this world of tomorrow. I’m looking forward to this time together to help shape a better world.”

This year’s key pillars include a focus on North American sustainability initiatives, community programs, and innovation. Speakers will share on the advances made over the past year to achieve these goals, including renewable energy initiatives, building innovations such as horizontal membrane systems and open plenum solutions, fire-rated glazing and design innovations, and Saint-Gobain’s recently launched community project Sustaining Futures, Raising Communities.
