GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spire Orthopedic Partners (Spire), a rapidly growing management services organization serving best-in-class orthopedic and spine surgeons, has expanded its C-Suite with two key hires – former Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) executive Lori Furnari as Chief Operating Officer, and seasoned human resources executive Stacey Zeltner as Chief People Officer.
“Since our inception in 2019, Spire has accomplished tremendous growth through new partnerships with some of the best orthopedic and spine surgeons in the nation,” said Tim Corvino, M.D., CEO of Spire. “Lori and Stacey will play a key role in our company’s growth and evolution as we continue to build a best-in-class management team and infrastructure to serve our physician partners and their practices.”
About Lori Furnari
Through her role as Vice President, Physician Practice Management for HSS, Furnari had responsibility for all orthopedic practice operations. In addition to her focus on HSS’ Main Campus practice operations, Furnari also played an influential role in HHS’ expansion into the Florida market. As operations executive for Florida, Furnari collaborated with HSS leadership on market strategy, business development and operational functions for HSS practices in the state.
Prior to HSS, Furnari led a rapid expansion of Englewood Hospital’s physician network as their Vice President of Physician Network. In addition, she has held several key positions in practice management for Westchester Medical Center and HealthQuest.
“I am honored to join this team and have the opportunity to put my 20 years of healthcare experience in physician practice operations and integration to work for our partners,” Furnari said. “As we grow, I look forward to learning more about our practices’ needs, challenges and opportunities. Together, we will build an operations infrastructure that further positions us for long-term success.”
About Stacey Zeltner
Zeltner brings diverse industry experience to Spire, serving most recently as Chief Human Resources Officer of Sabra Dipping Company, where she built the HR function to be an employee-centric organization. With deep functional expertise, Zeltner brings a holistic and cohesive approach to shaping a superior employee experience at Spire.
“Spire’s purpose-driven culture of making a positive impact on the lives of our physician partners, employees and patients is what ultimately influenced this next move in my career,” Zeltner said. “I look forward to building the infrastructure, fostering the culture and driving the engagement needed to serve our physician partners, colleagues and patients for years to come.”
