ST PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ascellus (formerly IMCS Group), the leading behavioral health provider focused on helping injured workers restore their physical and emotional wellbeing, today announced the appointment of Martha Temple to its Board of Directors.
“We are delighted to have a behavioral health strategist of Martha’s caliber join our Board of Directors,” said Lori Daugherty, Ascellus’ CEO. “Not only is she an active figure in the industry, her extraordinary background perfectly dovetails with Ascellus’ objective to provide the highest quality, evidence-based clinical programs for behavioral healthcare in the workers’ compensation space.”
Most recently, Temple was CEO of Optum Behavioral Health, where she spent five years developing high-impact integrated behavioral health care. Before her role at Optum, Temple spent 25-years at Aetna, Inc. in executive management positions, including serving as President of Aetna’s New England Market and creating, then growing, Aetna Global Benefits into the industry’s largest provider of expatriate benefits. An actuary by training, Temple received her Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries.
“Ascellus is perfectly positioned at the confluence of several important industry trends,” said Temple. “I’m very excited and honored to join the Ascellus Board of Directors at this crucial time in its growth to help transform the role of behavioral health in the recovery and return to work process.”
