HireRight Announces Direct Lab Testing Integration

Partnerships with major commercial laboratory partners connect customers & candidates with thousands of additional in-network clinics

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--HireRight, a leading provider of global background screening services and workforce solutions, announced today a new partnership with major commercial laboratory partners, as well as a licensed physician provider network, to offer clinical blood testing services. These partnerships enable HireRight to provide a solution that delivers faster, more effective, and more affordable blood testing services for occupational health.

These partnerships give HireRight direct access to the laboratories and their nationwide patient service centers (PSCs) for blood testing services, including titers for Hepatitis B, Varicella, MMR, and blood testing for Tuberculosis exposure. Partnering with these leading laboratories makes available a new network of close to 4,000 additional in-network clinics for candidates and clients.

Analysis of early orders has found that HireRight’s new solution – the first of its kind for a major screening provider – has reduced blood testing turnaround times by up to three days. Additionally, by going direct to a lab and using their patient service centers, HireRight can offer these services at lower rates than providers who use third-party sites.

HireRight’s solution combines the licensed physician provider network with the laboratory collecting and testing the sample to create both the blood test order and the physician approval instantly and simultaneously, further streamlining the process. After selecting a clinic, candidates and employees will receive an automated requisition they can take with them to the clinic, eliminating the need to visit a third-party clinic to obtain a physician’s referral.

As part of the integration, our major commercial laboratory partners transmit results directly to the HireRight screening platform.
