ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Marketplacer, a global technology platform that enables brands, retailers, suppliers, communities and innovators to easily build and grow successful online marketplaces at scale, announced today the expansion of their senior US Leadership team with the addition of Mike Herder as VP of Sales and Marketing and Lindsay Moore as VP of Partnerships and Customer Success. Additionally Brooke Camov, a founding team member from Australia, moves from the role of Chief Corporate and Strategy Officer to Vice President, Strategy and Operations.
Marketplacer is at the forefront supporting brands, communities and individuals to build retail marketplaces around communities and passions. E-commerce sales jumped a staggering 33.6% in 2020 according to eMarketer, thanks in large part to the pandemic. According to data from PYMNTS, Amazon took in 51.2% of those sales. But, in 2021, that trend will shift as retail recovers from the pandemic and new leaders emerge thanks to the ease and affordability of third party marketplace platforms.
“The e-commerce landscape is changing dramatically in this post-pandemic era and our stellar team additions including Brooke, Mike, and Lindsay are poised to help reshape the retail market,” said Jim Stirewalt, US President of Marketplacer. “We are proud to be a foundational part of this trend that is opening up options for consumers and making it easier than ever for people to shop their passions and communities.”
Moving into the Vice President of Strategy and Operations role, Brooke Camov will oversee the strategic direction for Marketplacer’s first international expansion. As a founding member of the company’s executive team, Camov played a pivotal role in Marketplacer’s incredible success in Australia. A gifted communicator, experienced capital raiser and strategist with more than ten year’s experience building startups, Camov will help drive market expansion in the US.
As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mike Herder is responsible for introducing the massive benefits of Marketplacer technology to the Americas. Mike has held a number of senior roles in retail software sales and go-to-market strategies at industry-leading companies, including at IBM and SAP. He has overseen sales teams across multiple continents, which has given him a unique perspective into the global software space and the associated impact of technology on industry.
As Vice President of Partnerships and Customer Success, Lindsay Moore will drive partner and customer growth across the Americas. Lindsay has spent her career growing ecommerce companies with emerging technology. Previously Moore was Senior Vice President of Alliances & Strategy at Zmags. Starting her career at SeeWhy, she established and ran their Partnerships & Customer Success teams, playing an integral role in their acquisition by SAP.
