SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Omada Health announced Steve Cook as Chief Financial Officer, where he will advise the company financially and allow it to build upon its commitment to deliver meaningful digital care. Cook is joining Omada on the heels of yet another successful year, from launching innovative new care programs like Physician-Guided Care and the Omada Insights Lab, to enhancing its musculoskeletal treatments with computer vision. Omada has also dramatically expanded its workforce and is actively recruiting positions across all teams.
“I am excited to join the Omada Health team as CFO and support the company’s journey as a leader in the digital health space,” Cook said. “Healthcare trends are skewing increasingly digital, further accelerated by COVID-19. I believe Omada’s platform and proven ability to reduce total cost of care positions them to take advantage of this trend. I look forward to offering my skills to help lead Omada through its next chapter of growth.”
Cook, formerly vice president and head of strategic finance at One Medical, has significant experience leading all aspects of financial planning and forecasting. While at One Medical, Cook helped lead the company through a $350M growth equity round by The Carlyle Group, as well as a successful IPO and acquisition of Iora Health. Prior to One Medical, Cook worked with Salesforce on its Strategic Finance team. As CFO at Omada, he will report directly to Omada CEO Sean Duffy and oversee the company’s financial planning.
As Omada continues to empower individuals with chronic conditions to improve their health, the company is focusing on the following areas for the remainder of 2021:
- Employee Growth: Omada has proven it can grow despite recent challenges brought on by the pandemic. Amid this period of company growth are two new hires: Vice President of Growth Marketing and Member Enrollment, Fred Neil, and new board member, Trevor Fetter. Fred Neil was formally the Global Head of Engagement Marketing at Amazon Music. Trevor Fetter is a Senior Lecturer of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and former CEO of Tenet Healthcare.
- Remote-First Policy: Omada has adopted a remote-first policy for its employees. Being remote-first allows Omada to hire top talent across the country regardless of location. Omada’s working headquarters in San Francisco remain open for teams to gather and collaborate. However, with its remote-first policy, the vibrant company culture can be accessible from anywhere.
- Record Enrollments: Year to date, Omada has reached over 80,000 enrollments and has served more than 500,000 total members in its history.
- Record Engagement: The professional care coaches at Omada have sent over 13 million messages to its members and have reached over 70,000 posts and comments on its topic-based communities. With over 100 million weigh-ins, 1.2 million glucose values recorded, and 378,000 blood pressure values tracked, Omada is committed to providing its members with the tools they need to manage their health and improve their lives.
“Omada is thrilled to have Steve join the team during this momentous period of company growth,” said CEO and co-founder Sean Duffy. “With his passion for digital health and experience in financial planning and strategy, Steve will be an asset in advancing our company toward future success. Looking ahead, Omada is optimistic and plans to maintain these upward trends in order to empower more people to lead healthier lives.”
