Yieldstreet Hits $2B In Deals Funded on Only Diversified Alternative Investment Platform

2021 Investments on platform already surpass 2019 and 2020’s totals, returning over $1B of capital in distributions back to investors

NEW YORK--()--Yieldstreet, a leading alternative investing platform narrowing the income and opportunity gap for retail investors, today announced hitting the $2 billion mark in deals funded thanks to its unique alternative investment offerings and rapidly growing interest in returns outside the stock market and traditional bonds.

The award winning investment platform has experienced significant expansion since its founding six years ago, building its asset class offerings to include Real Estate, Commercial, Consumer, Art, Marine, Legal Finance and Aviation. Yieldstreet stands apart from peers having seen funding of over $200M in each of five different asset classes, led by Real Estate which has seen over $450M in investments.

Since inception, Yieldstreet has returned more than $1B in principal and interest, generating a realized historical internal rate of return of more than 11%1. To date, 160 of Yieldstreet’s offerings have fully matured or been repaid in full on its platform.

“We have been confident from day one that if we built it, retail investors would eagerly sign on. Today they not only want but need to build income-generating investment portfolios to help ensure financial flexibility and are simply looking for access to what only the ultra wealthy have enjoyed. With Yieldstreet, for as little as $1,000, we’re delivering that access,” said Milind Mehere, Founder and CEO of Yieldstreet.

Yieldstreet continues to demonstrate that alternative investments do not necessarily need to require decade-long durations by providing liquidity in an inherently illiquid market and plans to offer even more liquidity in the future via an on-platform secondary market.

More than 300,000 people have joined Yieldstreet’s diversified platform to date, already catapulting the company ahead of its full-year goal for new investors on the platform. And in just the first six months of this year, total investment requests have already surpassed all of 2019 and 2020. Investors on the platform are making an average of four investments each so far.

“We aim to be the digital private bank of the future. You can expect to hear plenty about new investment options, asset classes and hitting additional major milestones as our growth continues to accelerate,” said Mehere. “Boosted by our recent $100 million Series C funding, we’re excited to build out our technology and geographic footprint, to provide the greatest number of people the potential for financial freedom.”
